If you don’t do many projects requiring drilling, an inexpensive corded drill may be your best option for your bunk bed project. Corded drills offer plenty of power with a much smaller price tag than a cordless drill. With expensive battery powered drills, you may be surprised that the batteries no longer even hold a charge when you dust the drill off a year from your last project… Corded drills don’t have that problem. This little guy is rated to drill 1″ holes in wood (just make sure you get drill bits that fit 3/8″ chucks).

Don’t forget a separate extension cord so you don’t have to keep swapping between tools!
